Jasper Cillessen

Jasper Cillessen was born in Nijmegen, Netherlands on Apr. 22, 1989. Born in Nijmegen and raised in the vicinity of Groesbeek, he started playing football when he was young. In 2008, he decided to cooperate with NEC, giving full play to his talents in a bigger platform. He accomplished the first appearance for the first-choice goalkeeper’s injury, winning supports from many football lovers. Even after returning of Babos, he managed to become a football player in the first team by a two-year contract.

Outstanding and distinguished achievements made him a popular footballer among football clubs. In August, 2011, he transferred to Amsterdam club for about €3 million, reaching a five-year contract. In Sep. 2011, he participated in a second round KNVB Cup away match against VV Noordwijk for the first time. After this match, he also played for Ajax at a 2011–12 Eredivisie match on Oct. 23, 2011. In 2016, he transferred to Barcelona for €15 million, taking the place of the outgoing Claudio Bravo.
